Clinical information:
Auto accident in August,
1999, with fracture of C2. Increasing pain in neck and UE’s with numbness of
both hands (not well localized) since October, 2000. MRI scan cervical spine
November, 2000, ordered by orthopedic surgeon.
Screening neurologic exam shows mild to moderate weakness of triceps bilaterally, moderate weakness of hand intrinsic musculature R>L, including EIP’s. Biceps and brachioradialis reflexes normoactive and symmetrical, triceps reflexes depressed, more so on R, brisk finger flexor reflexes, bilateral equivocal Babinski’s signs.
